Part 4 - Hollywood Studios, a Little Epcot, and a Little Racing

The next day we hit Hollywood Studios.

First we saw Disney Junior Live, which is a show featuring puppet characters of several of the Disney Junior shows. Bailey's favorites are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. Both kids loved this.

Waiting for the show to start

Jake and the Neverland Pirates (also included was Handy Manny, but I have no pictures of that)

Watching with Aunt Lisa
Btw - with much help from my talented mother, I made this outfit for Bailey for our trip. I loved how it turned out.

Waiting in line for Toy Story Mania! One of my favorite rides!

We got good at holding everyone's stuff while we waited for them to ride the big rides. That's what we were doing here. B decided we needed a little drama in our day. She's gotten good at that too.

Drama, Take 2

Drama, Take 3

After Hollywood Studios, we went to Epcot for a little bit. Here we are in Norway at the world showcase. Phillip was getting ready to take his first trip to Norway for his new job the next week, so we stopped in to get a little preview.

This is a re-enactment of a picture I took when we were there in 2009:

We got silhouettes done of Bailey and Colton in France. This guy just cuts it right out while he looks at their profile - pretty amazing to watch.

When we found out about the runDisney kids' races, we decided to sign up Bailey and Colton. There are several different races of various mileage according to age groups, including a Diaper Dash for 1 year olds and under. Colton had just had his 1st birthday so he and Bailey were in the same age group of 1-3 year olds. Their race was 100 meters. We weren't sure how the whole thing would go over, but at least we knew they would be the cutest ones there!

Of course they had the best fan club.

Mickey waited at the finish line to congratulate all the racers.

We had to wait a little while before we could start because the first race to go off was a 1-mile race for the older kids. We had to wait for everyone in that race to cross the finish line before the little kids' races could start. Then, there were so many kids in our race age group that there were 3 heats, and since we were in the back of the crowd we got in the last heat. So we ended up waiting a good 20-30 minutes in the hot sun before we could even start. Needless to say, things did not quite go as planned once the race started. After just standing there, walking around in circles for a few seconds, crying, and finally being picked up and carried across the finish line, Bailey and Colton were the last ones to cross. It was quite a sight to see. We were proud of them anyway! And they WERE the cutest ones there.

Amy, Andrew, and I all signed up to do the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-mile run that night. It was a night run that ended up at Hollywood Studios, and then the park stayed open afterwards till the early hours of the morning for runners and their families to play and ride rides. This was my first big run since the marathon 3 years ago. I must say after doing this I don't know how I ever did 26.2 miles! I got pretty queasy at the end of this run which lasted for a while afterwards, which may have been due in part to the high humidity that night. But we all finished, which was the goal. I don't know yet what the next big race will be (or even if there will be one!).

Waiting for the race to start. Bailey and Colton had fun running around dancing to the music at the pre-race party.

Finally about to cross the starting line

Each mile was marked by a different Disney villain. This one was the hyenas from The Lion King. I didn't want to take the time to take a picture with them, so I just took a picture of them.

Getting close to the end

Feeling a little woozy at this point, but it's done!

Part 3 - Universal Studios

We got to spend one day at Universal Studios. I was so excited to finally make it to Platform 9-3/4!
